Shaker Museum | Mount Lebanon is seeking an Advancement Associate who will support senior staff in the execution of Shaker Museum | Mount Lebanon’s advancement initiatives. This individual will work closely with other staff to fulfill the objectives of the museum’s strategic plan during an exciting phase of organizational development. He or she will serve as an effective connector of multiple constituencies, both internal and external. This is a part-time position with the possibility of becoming full-time.
Hours and Benefits:
This is a permanent, part-time position, with the possibility of becoming full-time. The position includes pro-rated vacation, holiday, and sick leave. Pay is between $15 – $20 per hour depending on experience. Evenings and / or weekends sometimes required.

The mission of Shaker Museum | Mount Lebanon is to engage and inspire local, national, and global audiences by telling the story of the American Shakers. In 2004, Shaker Museum | Mount Lebanon became owner and steward of the North Family site at Mount Lebanon Shaker Village, consisting of 10 remaining Shaker buildings on 30 acres, part of the Mount Lebanon Shaker Society National Historic Landmark. The Museum also maintains a campus in Old Chatham, New York, where the collections are stored and the administrative staff is housed. This position will work primarily at the Old Chatham site.
