Shaker Museum | Mount Lebanon and The Warm Ewe Offer a Series of Free Knitting Workshops

Shaker Museum | Mount Lebanon and The Warm Ewe invite the public to join a series of free knitting workshops offered on September 7, 21, and 28, between 2pm and 4pm. Each workshop will take place at the Mount Lebanon historic site at 202 Shaker Road in New Lebanon, NY. The staff of The Warm Ewe will provide free yarn and needles to the participants of the workshop for the project. Participants of all skill-levels, under the guidance of the organizers, will create individual knitted squares which will be joined together to create blankets to be donated to the Family Resource Center of Columbia County.

Shane Rothe

Curatorial Associate

Shane Rothe (they/them) joined Shaker Museum in July 2023, working with independent curator Maggie Taft on an exhibition for the new museum space in Chatham. Shane is an artist as well as a curator and continues to create in the mediums of painting, sculpture, writing, and performance. Shane holds a BFA from CalArts and an MA in art history and curatorial studies from the University of Chicago.
