Shaker Museum | Mount Lebanon is honoring Shaker scholars Jerry Van Grant and Sharon Duane Koomler at our 2018 Annual Benefit. Grant and Koomler have been selected for this honor for their innumerable contributions to the study of the American Shakers and their many years of service to the museum. Read more here.

Featured Mount Lebanon to honor Jerry Van Grant and Sharon Duane Koomler at Annual Benefit Gala

The benefit will be held on the grounds of the North Family historic site at Mount Lebanon Shaker Village next to the iconic Great Stone Barn, originally constructed in 1859, in New Lebanon, New York. A cocktail reception will be held inside the vault of the Barn, followed by dinner catered by The Farmer’s Wife of Ancramdale, New York. Check back soon for more details.

Shane Rothe

Curatorial Associate

Shane Rothe (they/them) joined Shaker Museum in July 2023, working with independent curator Maggie Taft on an exhibition for the new museum space in Chatham. Shane is an artist as well as a curator and continues to create in the mediums of painting, sculpture, writing, and performance. Shane holds a BFA from CalArts and an MA in art history and curatorial studies from the University of Chicago.
