Description

Top has one square and one convex end. Convex end of board has a chamfered top edge. Through convex half of board is a stepped concave through hole. Top is supported by two wooden planks, one which is wider than the other. Near the base of the thinner board is a rectangular cut out. Within cut out is a treadle which angles slightly up and attaches to the opposite board with a metal hinge. On top of middle of treadle are three links of a chain. Inside to one side of the cut out is a serrated blade. Above blade is a piece of wood, which extends to the top board. Around this piece of wood are two cast iron brackets spaced 10 11/16" apart. Attached to either side at an angle is an iron rod. Planks are washed red.
