Biography

Brother William Perkins joined the Mount Lebanon Shakers sometime around 1890. He lived at the Second Family and, with Sister Lillian Barlow, ran the chair factory there. He was a talented woodworker and carver, and produced many objects for sale including side chairs, revolver or swivel chairs, carved stools, and oval boxes and sewing carriers.
